The famous Nigerian novelist and gender equality advocate, Chimamanda Adichie has made it known that Feminists are not angry people, instead it's those opposing the movement that are bitter. .

In a sit-down with The Guardian, the 'Guardian Woman' stated that feminism is about justice..."Feminism just mean equality of opportunity. It doesn't mean men are inferior. It doesn't mean that women would become men."


The renowned writer also spoke about her Hibiscus Trust Creative Writing Workshop, a workshop meant to encourage talents, bring young Nigerian Writers together, and teach them to excel.

When asked about her writing technique, she merely replied that she has no style, "I write when the spirit speaks to me" she said.

In the same vein, the mother of one, made it known that being a writer doesn't make her ignorant about her fashion. Influenced by her mother, she loves to dress well, stating that she has made it mandatory for herself to wear ONLY NIGERIAN designers since last year.
