Lagos State Governor-Elect, Sanwo-Olu Campaign Team Member Accused
Of Drug Peddling .
A member of the Lagos State Governor-elect, Babajide Sanwo-Olu campaign team known as Olufunke Phillips was alleged to be a cocaine traffickers evading trial.
Hours after the accusation, Ms. Phillips who worked as a digital manager for Sanwo-Olu yanked all traces of him (Sanwo-Olu) off her social media profiles, although her twitter page still carry a link to his website.
Ms. Phillips was called out by a former business associate and journalist, Miss Ruona Meyer for intellectual property theft. According to her, both parties were suppose to establish a website that would focus on alcohol consumption.
However, Ms Meyer bailed out after she discovered that her business partner was a fugitive accused of cocaine possession. .
According to the journalist, Ms. Phillips thereafter went ahead to start her own website which was largely based on the initial idea they had.
Meanwhile, a top member of Mr. Sanwo-Olu's team has stated that Ms. Olufunke Phillips was never an aide to the governor-elect but a mere volunteer.
The Sanwo-Olu camp stated that they had no idea of her past criminal records until they saw the story online. .
According to Premium times, John Achema, NDLEA Spokesperson said that the agency would check their records before making a comment on the issue.
