Sultry singing songstress Simi has uncovered how a police officer
once pulled a gun at her and her friends over a basic reason.
As indicated by Simi, the occurrence played out as of late when a police man pulled a firearm at her and her companions while they were in a vehicle coming back from an occasion basically on the grounds that one of them giggled.
The vocalist who was responding to the gruesome brutality of the police in an interview said; "The last one was really dramatic and candidly awful," the artist said.
“This is why it is important for everyone to know their rights. “I have had several human right infringements. Not too long ago, I had a situation with the police force who pointed a gun at me and my friends for simply laughing and it wasn’t a pretty picture,” she added.
Simi’s comments comes weeks after Afrobeat singer Femi Kuti called for the immediate reform of the Nigeria Police Force over the rising cases of the shooting innocent Nigerians by men of the force.
Femi also staged a peaceful protest at the New Afrika Shrine in reaction to the recent fatal shooting of Kolade Johnson by an overzealous police officer.
During the protests, Femi called for the immediate reform of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) stating that the police are meant to defend and not to kill Nigerians.
