DSS arraigns Prophet whose church was burnt over missing child

The Department of Security Service on Monday
arraigned the General overseer of Sotitobire miracle center Akure ,prophet Alfa Babatunde before An Akure magistrate’s court on two counts of felony and kidnap.

Prophet Babatunde was arraigned alongside six other defendants, Omodara Olayinka Margaret Oyebola, Grace Ogunjobi, Egunjobi Motunrayo, Esther Kayode and Peter Anjorin.

The arraignment was in connection with the disappearance of a one year old boy inside Sotitobire church in November.
Babatunde’s  Church was last week set on fire by irate youths after the corpse of a year old boy declared missing in his church was allegedly exhumed.
According to sources within the church, the boy who was at the children’s department of the church could not be found after Sunday’s service when his mother went to pick him.

The mother of the boy, Modupe Kolawole, a member of the Church while speaking over the development said that she suspected foul play over the mysterious disappearance of her son from the church.

The Founder of the church, Pastor Alfa Babatunde has spent more than 16 days in the custody of DSS.

He was arrested based on a petition written by the parents of the missing child.
