Naira Marley vs EFCC: Details of what happened in court today (Wednesday)



Naira Marley's EFCC case scheduled to hold on Wednesday was
adjourned until Thursday by a Federal High Court in Lagos for continuation of trial.

Its no more news that Azeez Fashola, known popularly as Naira Marley is facing fraud and theft charges and was supposed to appear in court on the aforementioned date. According to reports by NAN, the case was adjourned following a letter by defence counsel, Mr Olalejan Ojo (SAN), who was not available.


The Economic and Financial Crimes
Commission (EFCC) preferred an 11-count charge against the musician. The charges bordered on conspiracy, possession of counterfeit credit cards and fraud.
The 'Am I a Yahoo Boy' crooner was arraigned on May 20 before Justice Nicholas Oweibo, but he pleaded not guilty.
The court granted him bail in the sum of N2 million with two sureties in like sum.
