Sanwo-Olu finally discovers alternative after ban okada, tricycle in Lagos


-Lagos state government has revealed its options after
restricting okada and tricycles in Lagos state
- The government on Sunday, February 2, said that it will work in 65 new buses into its transportation system on Monday, February 3 to reduce the level of an accident in the state.
- The state is also expecting about 550 more buses, 14 ferries will be commissioned on Tuesday, February 4
The Lagos state government on Sunday, February 2, disclosed what it has come up with a good option concerning about the restricted of okada and tricycle in the state.

In a statement on Sunday, the state's commissioner for information and strategy, Gbenga Omotoso, explained that the government has brought 65 new buses into the transport system which will start functioning from Monday, February 3, PM News reports. Aynaijang.com reports
Moreover, Omotoso said that apart from the fact that about 550 more buses are being expected, 14 ferries will be commissioned on Tuesday, February 4.
On behalf of the state, Omotoso thanked the operators of the banned vehicles for maximum obedience with the ban, adding that this shows that Lagosians are on the same page with the government on the need to prevent the level of crises that have linked Okada and tricycles.

The commissioner said that the government is aware of the discomfort the ban has caused the operators and ensured them that it is not laying on its paddlers in efforts to find other means of making a living for the affected individuals.
